Folding - Plan Before You Fold
Date: Dec 7, 2002
Check with your print shop about the availability of special folding method. There may be a possibility that not even one printer or bindery can handle what you plan to do in your town. Design the product after you know what is available may save time for redesign.
Paper less than 50lb may be difficult to feed into folders.
Heavy weight paper often needs scoring before folding.
Paper folds better with the grain than against it. Paper sometimes will crack at the edge after folding (without scoring in advance) if it folds against the grain.
