Self Vinyl Installation Tutorial

Custom pre-spaced vinyl lettering, logos, stickers and decals can be cut and delivered to end-users for easy DIY installation. Adhesive vinyl can be applied to virtually any smooth non-porous surface.

You need:
  1. Towel - Paper towel is not preferred because paper dust may result unexpected bubbles
  2. Scraper - For removing previously applied vinyl and remaining adhesive dirt
  3. Adhesive Removing Fluid - Ready-made chemical for removing remaining old adhesive dirt
  4. Squirt Bottle - Filled with ready-made application fluid or DIY mixture of 80% water and 20% dish soap.
  5. Squeegee - To remove air bubbles when applying
  6. Heat Gun or Hair Dryer - To speed up drying time
Steps:
  1. Clean
    • Scrape away all previously applied vinyl and remaining adhesive dirt
    • Use damped towel to clean all dust on the surface

  2. Peel
    • Peel release paper backing

  3. Spray
    • Spray application fluid on the adhesive side of vinyl and surface with squirt bottle

  4. Position
    • Position the sign to the surface while the sign and the surface are wet

  5. Smooth
    • Smooth the sign into position
    • If the sign does not slide, try to add more application solution

  6. Squeegee
    • Squeegee from center outwards to remove air bubbles
