Prepress for Screen Printing
Date: Jan 28, 2003
It is common to use computer to design artwork for screen printing, but unlike offset printing in North America, you may need to output as positive prints or positive film with emulsion up, not negative film with emulsion down. Try to keep screen rulings (line screen) very coarse. Around 85 lpi (line per inch) is good for smooth substrates; about 55 or 65 lpi for rough surfaces is recommended.
